Travellers share grim stories of being stuck on planes during Atlanta airport blackout

Travel delays are never fun, but spare a thought for those travelling through Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport.
The airport experienced an extended power outage (http://mashable.com/2017/12/17/atlanta-airport-blackout-flights-diverted/?utm_campaign&utm_context=textlink&utm_medium=rss&utm_source) which lasted from early afternoon through to the night, forcing a ground stop on flights headed to Atlanta, with planes mid-flight diverted to alternative airports.
