No organization has embraced Donald Trump's war on the press like the Environmental Protection Agency. Now, the EPA has gone beyond even the president's tough talk and into the dark world of political opposition research.
The Environmental Protection Agency has reportedly been using taxpayer money to pay a well-known research firm popular with Republicans in order to monitor — and possibly manipulate — press coverage, according to a report from Mother Jones (http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2017/12/the-epa-hired-a-major-republican-opposition-research-firm-to-track-press-activity/).
