ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday dismissed National Accountability* Bureau (NAB)'s appeal seeking to open* Hudaibiya Papers* Mills references against the Sharif family.
The Rs1.2 billion Hudaibiya Paper Mills case, involving money laundering charges against the Sharif family, was initiated by the anti-graft body in 2000 after Sharif was eased out of power by General (retd) Pervez Musharraf. The* Lahore High Court (LHC) quashed the case in 2014.* The NAB recently challenged the* LHC decision to* open the reference.

Today a* three judge* bench* of the* apex court headed by Justice Mushir Alam Khan rejected the* NAB's plea in a brief* ruling stating that the* detailed* judgment would be given later.
Justice Mzahar Alam Mian and Justice Qazi Faiz Isa were other members of the bench.
