After Democratic candidate, Doug Jones, won the Alabama senate seat on Tuesday over his opponent, Roy Moore, many people throughout social media had one specific group of people to thank: African-American women.*
The exit polls (http://mashable.com/2017/12/13/how-to-support-black-women-after-roy-moore-vote/) show that while 72 percent of white men and 63 percent of white men voted for Moore, 93 percent of black men and 98 percent of black women casted their ballot for Jones.*
In lieu of this election, black women were credited on Twitter with the hashtag #BlackWomen for ultimately 'saving' America from Moore who was accused of sexual misconduct.*
