Readers of the Interwebs may have been either elated or horrified to see over the weekend reports that the U.S. government had just "approved (http://www.theverge.com/2014/4/20/5634132/us-regulators-approve-powdered-*******)" a substance called P*******, or powdered ******* (http://mashable.com/category/*******/?utm_campaign=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_cid=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_medium=feed&utm_source=rss), for sale in liquor stores in little packets to be mixed with water at will. (What could possibly go wrong?)
But it turns out that a P******* label, **t a patent, was approved earlier this month by the ******* and ******* Tax and Trade Bureau of the U.S. Treasure Department. And even that turned out to be a mistake: A spokesperson for the Bureau told the Newark Star Ledger (http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2014/04/powered_*******_feds_approval_p*******.html) that the label approvals "have been surrendered."
