Drone strike kills 5 suspected militants

PARACHINAR: At least five persons were killed in a US drone strike near Kurram Agency on Thursday. The US drone fired two missiles and pounded a house-cum-compound along the border of Upper Kurram Agency with Afghanistan. There were conflicting reports about casualties and identify of the slain people. The sources said five people, suspected to be militants, were killed and three others injured in the drone strike. The sources said that a militant commander identified as Qari Abdur Rasheed, reportedly an Afghan national, was living in the compound. It was not clear if he was among those killed in the drone attack.
