SOCHI: Chinese Premiere Li Keqiang showed interests in promoting key infrastructure projects in Pakistan, during a meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in Sochi, China Daily reported Friday.
Owing to the favorable growing ties between both countries after China-Pakistan Economic Corridor since the last four years, Li expressed desires of extending cooperation in the production realm along with developing a free trade zone dedicated to bringing about balanced trade.
Li expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Khaqan for providing apt security to Chinese companies working for CPEC in Pakistan currently.
He also welcomed Pakistan to become a part of the Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Minister) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) for the very first time.
Reciprocating the offer with warmth, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan said that Pakistan looks forward to harbouring a favourable cooperation in future exchanges and trade with China in various fields.
It will also work towards ensuring safety in cooperative projects initiated with China, such as coordination in multilateral mechanism and other regional matters along with SCO, he said.
