“No new NRO is coming,” he said while taking to media days after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman claimed that Nawaz Sharif plans to malign NAB, Judiciary and military to pressure them for another NRO.
Responding to a question regarding differences within Sharif family, he said outsiders can only wish for it to happen.
“It is also a contempt when judiciary itself fails to fulfill requirements of justice,” he said. The former prime minister said NAB had hundreds of references but no judge was tasked with monitoring them.
Answering a question regarding Asif Ali Zardari's criticism, he said the former president was trying to appease someone by speaking against him.
Speaking to media before appearing in the accountability court, Sharif said the current situation suggests that he is being punished for putting an end to load shedding and terrorism.
“Everybody can see what is happening, whatever I have done and the efforts I made are also before everyone”
He said he was unable to understand why was he appearing before courts.”Is it a corruption case? Did I receive kickbacks and made money in contracts?” he asked.
The PMLN leader said he corrected the economy and the country witnessed record development while the stock market boom was historic during his stint as prime minister.
