Wearable Intelligence Shows What Future of Healthcare Could Be Like (VIDEO)

As we become more and more connected through various gizmos and gadgets, the future for healthcare providers looks more and more exciting. Wearable Intelligence*(San Francisco, CA) is a company that’s **w looking to bridge the gap between tech**logy and healthcare. In their conceptualization of what medical care could look like in a few years, they demo the potential use of Google Glass in the ambulance and hospital settings.
The short video shows the role of multiple healthcare providers and their interactions with an acute stroke patient. Google Glass is used by the paramedic and emergency physician to call each other, pull up past medical history and allergies, record videos and photos of the patient, take live speech-to-text dictation **tes, and teleconference with specialists for real-time patient assessment. While individually **ne of these functions are worth writing home about (or to Medgadget), a well-integrated system appears to have potential to deliver healthcare more efficiently and effectively. **w if only somebody would hurry up and develop a device for telekinesis…
