The HTC One, the company's flagship phone that drew great reviews but failed to become a big hit, sank the company's first-quarter earnings.
The Taiwan-based company's unaudited results (http://investors.htc.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=148697&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1916106&highlight=), released on Monday, showed a net loss before taxes of $62 million on revenues of $1.1 billion, down from $1.4 billion (http://techcrunch.com/2014/01/06/htc-q4-13/) in the previous quarter. The loss comes after HTC posted its first quarterly loss ever last October. HTC posted a net profit of $10 million (http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/01/05/us-htc-earnings-idUSBREA0403F20140105) in its fourth quarter, which came in below analysts' expectations.
