The PML-N leadership following a consultative meeting and parliamentary party meeting **minated Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for the slot of the prime minister for an interim period of 45 days.
He would continue to hold the slot till Shahbaz Sharif's election as MNA from the seat in NA-120 to become permanent Prime Minister till June 4, next year.
The president has summoned the National Assembly session in exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Schedule of election: Candidates can receive **mination papers from NA Speaker ****** by 3pm on July 30. **mination papers can be filed by 2pm on July 31 and the Speaker will examine papers by 3pm. The election will be held at 3pm on August 1.
