Addressing parliamentary party meeting of the PMLN at the Punjab House, Nawaz Sharif said his conscience was clear as he was never indulged in corruption and embezzlement of government funds. He said history would judge the apex court decision.

Nawaz Sharif said he was ousted for **t withdrawing a salary from a company that was owned by his son.

He said the company was set up by his son to facilitate his arrivals in Dubai from London. He said he could **t stay in London beyond six months and had to travel to the gulf state where he would stay before getting his UK visa extended.

"My son appointed me as chairman of the board of directors against salary of 10,000 dirhams. They say why didn't i withdraw salary, and i should have declared my company. Why should i have declared it when i didn't draw a salary," he said.

Nawaz Sharif presented names of his younger brother Shahbaz Sharif as contender for the post of prime minister and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as an interim prime minister before the the Punjab chief minister is elected to the parliament.

The parliamentary party endorsed the names proposed by the former prime minister.

The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday disqualified Nawaz Sharif as Member National Assembly and the prime minister for concealing the salary he was supposed to draw as chairman of his son’s Dubai-based company, Capital FZE.

The five-member SC bench gave a consensus verdict, disqualifying Nawaz Sharif for **t being honest under Article 62 (1)(f) of the Constitution and the Representation of the People Act, 1976 (ROPA), and ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to file references against him and members of his family.

Nawaz failed to complete his third term as the premier and he was disqualified for lifetime for submitting a false statement in his **mination papers about his assets abroad.In 1993, he was sacked by the-then president over graft allegations, while in 1999, he was ousted in a military coup.
