MAKKAH - Hundreds of cameras have been planted in various parts of the Grand Mosque to prevent thieves from stealing money and other valuables from pilgrims and visitors, especially during the peak seasons of Haj and Umrah. Acting director of Makkah Police, Maj. Gen. Assaf Al-Qurashi, said in addition to the modern equipment, a large number of secret police were mingling with pilgrims during the tawaf and saie rituals to stop pickpockets. He asked pilgrims **t to carry large amounts of money with them when they go to the Grand Mosque because they will **t need them.
