For consumers, the recent price war over storage has been a pleasant surprise. For Internet companies, though, it's been a cause for an extended wave of high fives.
“One of my CEOs declared to me the other day that last week's activity in the cloud may have been one of the most important weeks in tech**logy history, but we won't realize it for many years to come,” wrote Jeff Bussgang, a general partner at venture capital firm Flybridge Capital.
