FAISALABAD: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Monday questioned whether the Constitution and law were only for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Rana Sana warned that removing the prime minister through undemocratic means would destabilise the country. When Pakistan was in a position to move forward, it had been pushed towards eco**mic instability.
Talking to media persons, he said certain quarters were trying to conspire against the country, adding that the use of articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution would be rejected by the nation.
The opponents were relying on undemocratic ways to remove the prime minister, he said, adding that they knew it would be difficult for them to defeat Nawaz in the 2018 general elections. Regarding PTI Chairman Imran Khan, he remarked that when it came to his accountability, he admitted that he did **t have any record.
He claimed that a conspiracy was being hatched against the country at a time when it had eliminated terrorism and loadshedding. “Pakistan is going to drop an eco**mic bomb in the form of the China-Pakistan Eco**mic Corridor (CPEC),” he added.
Meanwhile, the provincial minister said the government was following multi-dimensional welfare policies for the eco**mic rehabilitation of the deserving persons and financial assistance was being provided to them through a transparent system.
He was addressing a ceremony held in connection with distributing keys of rickshaws among deserving unemployed persons under the arrangements of the Punjab Zakat and Ushr Department at Municipal Corporation Complex, Lyallpur Hall.
He said the government believed in public welfare and a number of welfare projects had been initiated by it but the political opponents were creating hurdles in the way of development. He stated that the people would foil the conspiracies of unseen forces and **t accept any unconstitutional move against the prime minister.
