https://www.thenews.com.pk/assets/uploads/akhbar/2017-07-19/l_217485_054502_print.jpg LAHORE: Supreme Court Bar Association, Lahore High Court Bar Association, Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) and Punjab Bar Council on Tuesday an**unced a countrywide protest strike against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, demanding his resignation over the Panama Leaks issue.

PBC Vice-Chairman Ahsan Bhoon said the Panama JIT report had proven PM Nawaz and his family members guilty of corruption. Therefore, he said, he had lost the moral and legal justification to remain in ******.

He expressed these views while addressing a press conference which was attended by the council’s ******-bearers and many other lawyers.Ahsan also demanded the resignation of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and MNA Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar. He requested the Supreme Court to take the Panama Leaks case to its logical enddisqualify those found guilty in the JIT report.

Ahsan also requested the court for action against government’s ministers for using derogatory and threatening language against the JIT members and the Supreme Court judges. He an**unced that lawyers would observe countrywide strike on Wednesday (today) to press their demand of PM’s resignation. He also an**unced that he would host an all parties’ conference on Panama papers case.

Supreme Court Bar Association Secretary Aftab Bajwa also an**unced strike on Wednesday (today). He said members of the Sharif family were found guilty of corruption and amassing illegal assets. He said Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar were tools for committing corruption and money-laundering. Bajwa said PM had ** justification to remain in ****** as he had already been declared as dishonest.

INP adds: Ahsan Bhoon also called for punitive action against the **minated persons under the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) laws for perjury. He assured the Supreme Court of total support of the legal fraternity to foil any attempt on the part of the ruling party to influence and undermine the dignity and prestige of the apex court. Bhoon blamed Ishaq Dar for paralysing the country’s eco**my during his tenure as the finance minister and urged action against all those who submitted fake documents in the apex court.
