The **torious 86-year-old jewel thief believed to have stolen millions of dollars worth of valuables over the years was busted Monday night in Georgia ? for shoplifting from Walmart. Doris Payne was arrested at the store in DeKalb County following the theft of items worth $86.22, according to WSB. She had taken items from the pharmacy, electronics and grocery departments, according to the police report obtained by the station. Payne, featured in a 2013 documentary about her six-decade criminal career, had been deemed too ill to stand trial in Georgia for an alleged theft committed in 2015. That trial, scheduled to start earlier this year, is on hold. She had been accused of putting a $2,000 necklace in her back pocket as she tried to leave a department store just outside Atlanta. Payne's criminal career dates back to the 1950s. She is believed to be responsible for numerous high-profile heists around the world, including the theft of a 10.5-carat diamond in Monte Carlo.
