Spotify Slashes Subscription Prices for College Students

The discount will likely provide a solid spike to Spotify's user headcount, which at last count tallied 24 million monthly active users and 6 million paying subscribers.
The advertising-free subscription (https://www.spotify.com/us/student/) allows students to access its library of more than 20 million songs online or offline on mobile, tablet, desktop and home entertainment systems.
