As reported by The Guardian (https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2017/jul/04/the-medicare-machine-patient-details-of-any-australian-for-sale-on-darknet#img-2), a vendor on a large darknet marketplace is illegally selling patient details in a listing dubbed the "Medicare machine."*
The seller claims to get the data by "exploiting a vulnerability" in a government system.
