Addressing a function organised by the PML-N, he said, “These documents were taken seriously only in Pakistan, where an elected prime minister and his family were dragged into cases.”“** evidence of money laundering has been provided in the Panama Papers case. Despite our reservations, we continue appearing before the JIT,” he said.

Saad said the PML-N respected the judicial system and would respect the verdict. But he added that “they are **t given the answers of who leaked Hussain Nawaz’s picture and why calls are being made on WhatsApp”.

** one should make popular decisions, be it politicians, the government or state institutions, he said, but assured that "nevertheless, our heads will continue to bow down before the courts".

“We do **t want popular verdict. We want proper judgment,” the senior PML-N leader said. Saad said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif never disappointed the country. “When we came into power, the country was in a terrible state but we restored institutions and the situation improved,” he added.

“Whenever PML-N pulled Pakistan out of crisis, we are made to pay the price,” he said. “The government will **t allow the country to go back in reverse. Pakistan can**t be designed according to someone’s design,” he remarked.

The minister also came down hard on TV talk show hosts, saying some ‘journalists’ were biased in their coverage of the government while those who stood with democracy were dubbed traitors. He claimed “the country today has a strong, free media and a free judiciary, and its institutions work in accordance with the Constitution, adding that “this was **t achieved in a day.”

Saad claimed that Nawaz was being punished for making Pakistan stronger “because certain elements don't like our faces”. Nawaz and PMLN, he said, would continue working for the people regardless of the hurdles placed in their path.

“Even strong and brave countries like the United States tried everything they could to counter Pakistan after it conducted nuclear tests in 1998,” he recalled. They did **t wish to challenge anyone but were being subjected to hatred and biasness, he added.

Saad said the Charter of Democracy (CoD) was a key document in the history of Pakistan, which closed all the doors for hatred and bias. The CoD, he added, did **t please those who wanted to spread bias and hatred in the country.

He said the peace had returned in Karachi and Balochistan and added that the enemies of Pakistan did **t wish allowing the country to progress. “However, with the commitment and diligence of the PMLN leadership and their governance, the enemy shall never succeed in halting our progress,” he added.

Saad also criticised the recent inclusion of 'turncoats' in the PTI and lashed out at Sheikh Rashid as well as a former PML-N member, who is set to join the PTI, without naming him. "Benazir Bhutto's martyrdom hurt us as well as it ******* a formidable opposition leader," he said, adding that a big leader could compete with a dwarf.

He said Pakistan was created with the power of votes and pleaded that democracy and political parties should be left alone to flourish as it was in the best interest of the country. "All of us should worry about Pakistan as protecting democracy isn’t just the job of political parties and the civilian government but also the media, judiciary and parliament," he added.

Meanwhile, Sindh Gover**r Muhammad Zubair said that **thing would happen on July 10 as the effects of the probe conducted by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) would last for years. He said that the hype surrounding July 10, when the Panama case Joint Investigation Team (JIT) would present its report to the Supreme Court, was misguided.

Speaking to the media in Hala, Sindh during a visit, Zubair said the report would only be submitted to the apex court on July 10, following which the special bench would review it — a process that might take weeks and even months.

The gover**r, however, **ted that “the one good thing everyone should ack**wledge is that the investigation occurring according to the Constitution. If this was the 1990s, the whole system would have been wrapped up.”

“The federal and provincial governments are **t going anywhere and general elections will be held in 2018,” he assured. He also claimed that the JIT’s probe was historic as such a level of scrutiny of a prime minister and his family had **t happened before.

Earlier, the gover**r visited the shrine of Sufi saint Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. Meanwhile, Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said if the government of the ruling PML-N is subjected to revenge then ** one would be able to mute the voice of 200 million people who are "JIT" of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Talking to the media persons outside the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) in Islamabad, he said they have the right to ask why the Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan have become 'spokespersons' of the inquiry going on against the Sharif family.

"Who dictates these persons and who is providing them with information that an interim set up will come after 10 days. The Supreme Court should take suo moto **tice on the statement of Sheikh Rashid Ahmad to bring the true facts to the surface," he said. Abid Sher Ali said the frustrated politicians were talking about third umpire and giving predictions that the government would be ** more after few days but four years have passed and they are still there to serve the people of Pakistan. He said **w the JIT has issued summons to Maryam Nawaz and despite the fact that female members of the Sharif family are being dragged into this case they would **t leave the ground and face the investigation.

He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is being punished because he is making an end to terrorism and embarking the country on the path of progress and prosperity, adding, "Nawaz Sharif gave the right to Baloch people to rule their province after 2013 general elections and also provided chance to the PTI to form its provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.”

Abid raised the question how Pervez Musharraf became so rich as his family had ** properties and he only served in the Pakistan Army, adding, "A JIT should also be constituted to probe those people who compromised over the national interests for personal benefits."

He said, "If there is any evidence of corruption against the Sharif family then it should be brought to the public otherwise it will be unacceptable to connect the personal business affairs with corruption to serve any specific purpose." He said the Musharraf regime carried out investigation against the Sharif family but it found **thing due to which it registered the fake plane hijacking case against Nawaz Sharif.

"We are elected people but those who are opposed to the China-Pakistan Eco**mic Corridor (CPEC) and development of Pakistan are hatching conspiracies against us," he said. Abid said if they say something then it becomes an issue so they just want to ask why these people are representing someone and whether they are getting clues from 'inside' or giving statements on their own. Commenting over the statement of Sheikh Rashid, he said a person who has been 'divorced' from various political parties is claiming that the government would end after 10 days. He said when former president Asif Ali Zardari faced cases in the courts he sought immunity as a president but Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif neither sought immunity **r raised any kind of objection and presented himself for accountability because he has done **thing wrong.

The minister said Nawaz Sharif has asked whether there is any corruption case against him and if anyone has evidence against him then he should bring it to the people of Pakistan. "Our political rivals are well aware that the PML-N will get majority in next Senate elections due to which they are hatching conspiracies against its government. The elected government of Nawaz Sharif was dissolved twice in the past because he always intended to serve the masses and bring eco**mic revolution in the country," he said.

Abid said the PTI chief is a blot on the face of democracy because except spending just 10 days in prison during the Musharraf regime he has ** understanding about the politics. To a question, he said there should be ** politics on the issue of Parachinar as our armed forces have rendered great sacrifices to curb terrorism in the country.
