Between Generation X and Millennials exists a tiny micro-generation of people who call themselves the Xennials. Maybe you've seen this group labeled Generation Catala** (http://www.slate.com/articles/life/culturebox/2011/10/generation_catala**_the_generation_stuck_between_g en_x_and_the_m.html) — a reference to '90s teen drama My So-Called Life — or perhaps as the Oregon Trail Generation (https://socialmediaweek.org/blog/2015/04/oregon-trail-generation/), but neither have quite the ring that Xennial does.
Though the term's been written about before (https://www.good.is/articles/generation-xennials), a viral Facebook post (https://www.facebook.com/ChargerStone/posts/10212959599241442) from early June brought the term back into the news cycle.*
