In recent days, pro-Russian forces have stormed Ukrainian military bases across Crimea, including in two separate incidents on Saturday (http://mashable.com/2014/03/22/pro-russian-protesters-ukraine-military-crimea/?utm_medium=feed&utm_source=rss).
Evgeny Feldman, a staff photographer for the Russian publication **vaya Gazeta and a frequent contributor to Mashable, documented the Russian takeover of one Ukrainian military base in Pereval**ye, a small town outside the Crimean capital of Simferopol, in a ****** of photos taken on Friday.
Feldman said the military base is one of the biggest in Crimea, and sits next to a settlement where soldiers and their relatives lived "for generations." While some are leaving, others have decided to join the Russian army, he added.
