Korean website ITToday reports (http://www.ittoday.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idx**=44995) that several new smartphones set to be released this year, including Samsung's Galaxy **te 4 (http://bgr.com/tag/galaxy-**te-4) and LG's upcoming G3 flagship phone, will use the same type of water-resistant casing used by Samsung in its Galaxy S5 phone (http://bgr.com/2014/02/24/samsung-galaxy-s5-release-date/). That the Galaxy **te 4 will have water-resistant casing isn't surprising since it's made by the same company behind the Galaxy S5 but this could mark the first time that an LG (http://bgr.com/tag/lg) flagship phone has featured water-resistant casing. Sony was the first major smartphone manufacturer to emphasize water-resistant casing as a key feature for its smartphones and the rest of the industry has slowly started to follow along.
