نجحت **ممة السيراميك البريطانية Vicki Smith، 26 عامًا، في أن تصبح صانعة ناجحة للكيك في بريطانيا، حيث تمكنت بقطع الكيك التي تحضرها من الحصول على جوائز في منافسات الطعام في مانشستر وغيرها من المنافسات، كما جلبت أعمالها إنتباه مشاهير الطهاة أمثال Duff Goldman الشخصية التلفزيونية والصانع الشهير للمعجنات والكيك في أمريكا.
وتقوم سميث؛ بتحضير قطع الكيك، وتصميمها مستوحية في ذلك من ألعاب الكرتون والروسوم المتحركة للأطفال أمثال الرسوم المتحركة Finding Nemo و Betty Boop وthe Corpse Bride وغيرها.
وقد تأخذ قطعة الكيك الواحدة ماقد يصل إلى 50 ساعة من التحضير لتجعلها Smith وكأنها قطعة من الواقع، حيث تأخذ مرحلة إعداد الكيكة وقتا أقصر من مرحلة الديكور التي تستخدم فيها Smith الشكولاطة والكراميل وكل أنواع اللوازم التي تجعل الكيكة وكأنها حقيقية.
