Valuables, three cars taken away

LAHORE: Robbers deprived citizens of their valuables and vehicles worth millions of rupees here on Saturday. Robbers looted valuables worth Rs 9.5 million from the house of one Tariq in the Naseerabad area, Rs 0.4 million from the shop of one Asghar in Ravi Road, Rs 72,000 from the family of one Nabi Ahmad in Defence C, Rs 81,000 from one Ahsan in Muslim Town and snatched cash and a bike from one Rafique in the Gujjarpura area. Three cars were lifted from the areas of Gujjarpura, Naseerabad and Garden Town. Six bikes were stolen from the areas of Islampura, Misri Shah, Lower Mall, Akbari Gate, Sanda and Nawab Town.
Interpol contacts UK for Altaf’s red warrants
ISLAMABAD: Interpol Headquarter in France has contacted British Interpol on matter of red warrants of MQM founder Altaf Hussain. According to media reports, the FIA has made a formal request to British Interpol for red warrants of Altaf. The FIA also sought details pertaining to legal status of stay of MQM chief in Britain. Earlier, the FIA had sent an application to Interpol for issuing red warrants against Altaf for which all legal requirements were met while keeping in view the rules and regulations of Interpol. He is wanted to Pakistani courts in criminal cases.
