KARACHI: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah said on Friday that if he were in place of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he would **t have appeared before the JIT (Joint Investigation Team) without resigning.
The opposition leader said that Nawaz Sharif understands the puppet show very well. The opposition leader was talking to newsmen at the Sindh Assembly on Friday.
He said Mian Sahib k**ws well who makes puppets dance and who dances. He that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif does possess all the factories and it is a possibility that he does possess the factory to overrun decisions of the masses.
“If I were in the place of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, then I would **t appear before the JIT without resigning. Mian Nawaz Sharif should go to the public after resigning if he wants to convene a public court,” he said.
“I do k**w who is dancing and who is making others dance in the show of string puppets,” said the leader of the opposition. He said that Nawaz Sharif didn’t speak any truth as whatever statement he had given did contain the truth, which had been given to him in writing. “I k**w that Nawaz Sharif himself is **t such a smart person,” he said. “ A team is working behind him and this team tries to make him smarter but Nawaz Sharif again starts following his old ways,” he said.
“If he hadn’t done anything, then why he addressed the nation and gave statements in the National Assembly,” he said. The opposition leader said the team, which had investigated Nawaz Sharif, was **t the JIT; instead it was a part of the probe being done by the Supreme Court. “But this JIT has been lowering its standard the team, which had investigated Nawaz Sharif, was **t the JIT; instead it was a part of the probe being done by the Supreme Court. “But this JIT has been lowering its standard as the JIT means that if someone evades appearing before courts, then the court itself will go to the accused in order to investigate him.”
He said the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) had put the judiciary under pressure the day the matter of Panama Case went to the Supreme Court. The JIT has been facing pressure of PML-N from the day one.
He said that institutions would be weakened if they were targeted and the state would be weakened with the weakening of the institutions. Khursheed said that it was his prayer that this assembly should complete its tenure. He said that if Nawaz Sharif was telling the truth, then he should better dissolve assemblies and appear before the public court. He said that leaders of the PPP in the past fought well against dictators.
