Carrey is being sued by Cathriona White's mother and estranged husband, who accused the 55-year-old star of supplying the ***** White took in her suicide in September 2015. A trial date was set for April 26, 2018 for the case by Los Angeles judge Deirdre Hill, who suggested the trial could take 20 days, The Telegraph reported. She reportedly made it clear that she will take more time to think about the case, and does **t consider this her final decision. Carrey's attorney Raymond Boucher had attempted to have the case tossed, to ** avail thus far. "Mr. Carrey loved Ms White dearly and so obviously it will be a very painful process for him," Boucher said after the hearing, according to The Telegraph. Carrey and his team have vehemently denied all of the accusations made by White's mother Brigid Sweetman and former husband Mark Burton, who filed the lawsuit against the "Dumb and Dumber" star last year. They've alleged Carrey gave Percocet, Ambien and Propra**lol - each of which are prescription ***** - to White, leading to her overdose. Her death was officially ruled a suicide. Sweetman has also accused Carrey of giving White, 30, three different ***ually transmitted diseases during their relationship before pressuring her to cover it up. Carrey helped carry the coffin at White's funeral in 2015 and was reportedly moved to tears during the ceremony.
