Waymo (http://mashable.com/category/waymo/) is taking its self-driving tech to an entirely new class of vehicles.
The auto**mous car company, which famously spun off as an independent entity (http://mashable.com/2016/12/13/alphabet-google-automotive-plans/) after years of development as the Google X self-driving car project, was recently spotted running tests on something other than its instantly recognizable fleet of Waymo-branded Chrysler Pacifica minivans (http://mashable.com/2016/12/19/waymo-self-driving-minivan/): a truck. *
A photo recently obtained by BuzzFeed News (https://www.buzzfeed.com/priya/googles-waymo-is-exploring-self-driving-trucks?utm_term=.mbW9NaBd8#.doyQqeo6J) appears to show a Waymo truck, which company reps confirmed to be genuine.
