RAWALPINDI: The 75th formation commanders conference on Tuesday expressed the resolve to protect geographical and ideological frontiers of the country.
Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, while addressing the conference at the General Headquarters (GHQ), said the budding state of stability achieved after countless sacrifices by the security forces, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and by the nation shall be consolidated to have a **rmalised Pakistan. He said that **twithstanding our desire for enduring peace with our neighbours, any hostile action anywhere along our frontiers shall be responded to most befittingly.
The conference was attended by all general ******rs of the army. The participants were briefed on geo-strategic environment, progress of Operation Raddul Fasaad, operational preparedness against conventional threat and other matters concerning national security.
Referring to his recent visits to frontline field formations along the eastern and western frontiers, General Bajwa appreciated the high state of operational readiness and morale of troops, especially displayed in response to recent border and ceasefire violations.
The forum also deliberated on the situation in Fata, recent measures for better Pak-Afghan border management, the impending Fata reforms and reiterated requirement of reforms process in line with aspirations of the people of Fata. The improving situation of Balochistan was also deliberated upon. The forum reiterated its resolve to continue meaningful contributions towards stability and progress of Balochistan with the support of its people.
Progress and security of CPEC projects was discussed with emphasis to maintain focus on further securing environment for timely progress of this vitally-significant mega initiative. The forum decided that operations in Karachi, Punjab and elsewhere will continue till sustainable stability was achieved.
