KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Works and Services Imdad Ali Pitafi caused an embarrassing situation in the Sindh Assembly once again on Tuesday when he uttered an insulting remark against the prime minister as he delivered a hard-hitting speech in the house against thefederal government and the PM.
The use of foul language by the provincial minister against the prime minister virtually fell on deaf ears as opposition lawmakers doing protest in the house had caused serious rumpus and commotion at that time. Owing to the vociferous protest in the house by the opposition, the bad choice of words by the treasury legislator against the PM was ig**red by the concerned MPAs.
Later, when the opposition legislators walked out of the house, the provincial minister again sought permission from Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza, chairing the session, at that time to speak in the house on a point of personal clarification.
The provincial minister said that while opposition legislators were causing rumpus in the house, he had delivered a passionate speech and unintentionally uttered a word, which was un-called for and un-parliamentary in nature.
The deputy speaker said the use of such un-parliamentary language or words by any of the MPAs was automatically erased from recording of proceedings of the provincial assembly’s session.
