Kerry: That ‘re-set’ thing with Russia was a long time ago; This is a different time

**w comes the part where the Obama administration starts to pretend their 2009 “re-set button” (http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2009-03/08/content_10967777.htm) for U.S./Russia relations to kick off a new era of global “Hope & Change” was “long ago” (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2014/03/02/kerry_i_dont_k**w_what_you_mean_by_the_reset.html) (video at the link (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2014/03/02/kerry_i_dont_k**w_what_you_mean_by_the_reset.html) ):
DAVID GREGORY: Before I get to my final question on Israel with a big meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister, coming to meet with President Obama, Marco Rubio is on this program in just a few minutes saying it’s time for the administration to publicly ack**wledge that the reset with Russia is dead. Do you ack**wledge that?
SECRETARY OF STATE JOHN KERRY: Well, I don’t k**w what you mean by the reset.
GREGORY: The reset in relations that this administration called for.
KERRY: I k**w, but long ago, we’ve entered into a different phase with Russia. I don’t think this is a moment to be proclaiming one thing or the other.
The “different phase” Kerry refers to is k**wn in some circles as “reality.”
The “re-set button” offer (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/03/06/clinton-reset-button-gift-to-russian-fm-gets-lost-in-translation/) to Russia was of course part of President Obama and Hillary Clinton’s “world peace through cheap plastic **velty gifts” initiative.
Here’s a**ther one that will be characterized as “long ago” — Obama in 2012 mocking Romney for still considering Russia a geopolitical foe:
Meanwhile, as far as a U.S. response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine goes, Kerry said this morning that “all options are on the table.” (http://hotair.com/archives/2014/03/02/kerry-all-options-are-on-the-table-in-response-to-russian-invasion-of-crimea/) Here’s the table (click image to enlarge):
