On the heels of the mermaid tail blanket craze (http://www.popsugar.com/moms/Mermaid-Toys-Kids-43176775) it seems that this grandma went for a similar design, but instead of a mermaid tail she designed a shark tail for the bottom, a shark head as the opening, and a shark fin - obviously a necessary part of a shark's anatomy - which resembled something slightly different because of where it falls when the child is wearing the blanket.
