After 35 years, Murree and adjoining areas received s**wfall on Friday in the month of April. With the ongoing spell of rainfall and s**wfall, the land route located in urban areas of Swat has been disconnected with the rest of adjoining areas.
Malam Jabba, Kalam Maidan and other plain areas received 3 inch and 6 inch s**wfall respectively. 95% areas of Skardu’s land route have been disconnected with rest of country while five points located on the highway leading to Gilgit and Skardu have been closed for all sorts of traffic.
The Met Department has forecast more rain along with thunderstorm in isolated places of Kashmir, GB, Malakand Division, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Fata and Islamabad. Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is forecast for rest of the country.
