Pepsi pulls cringeworthy Kendall Jenner ad after massive backlash

Pepsi said Wednesday it will remove a widely panned commercial from its online platforms and television slots after the company faced a massive backlash (http://mashable.com/2017/04/04/pepsi-commercial-cringeworthy/?utm_campaign=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_cid=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial) on social media this week.
"Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding," a spokesperson said in a statement. "Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize."
