LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Q’s senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said there is ** electricity in Pakistan. The rulers should send the energy crisis as a gift to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Talking to a delegation of elected chairmen, vice-chairmen and the PML-Q leaders of Bahawalpur who called on him at his residence here on Thursday under the leadership of MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema and MPA Dr Afzal, Pervaiz Elahi said the government is relying on TV and newspapers to keep itself alive; the rulers’ feet have been practically uprooted, but they are inaugurating projects which they themselves have inaugurated a number of times previously.
The delegation included former MPA Ch Ehsanul Haq, Syed Salahuddin Jilani, Qazi Murtaza, Haji Khalil, Muhammad Yasir Ranjha, Ch Zubair, Mohammad Aamir, Ashfaq Ahmad Tarar, Ishtiaq Ahmad Tarar, Javed Ahmad Tarar, Ali Akbar Bajwa, Javaid Akhtar Sindhu, Ch Shaukat Ali Jajja, Ali Altaf, Muhammad Nadeem Lashari, Farooq Azam Warraich and Ch Sarfaraz Ahmad among others.
Pervaiz Elahi said there is such an acute shortage of electricity in Pakistan that our cities and villages are in darkness for hours together, summer is still to set in and outages have already increased to several hours. If the rulers have so much love for Modi, they should shift to India this time.
