According to details, a man named Taimur and a woman were traveling in a car in Islamabad's I-10 area when a police ******r asked them to stop at a checkpoint. After the car did **t stop when the policeman interfered, the cop shot at the vehicle. The man was killed on the spot while the woman in the car with him remained safe.
After shooting the man dead, the police ******r fled from the scene. Taimur belonged to the city of Mardan while the woman hails from Lahore.
According to a postmortem report, the bullet had fractured his skull when he had been hit by it and died on the spot. A family member disclosed that Taimur and his female companion had become friends through social media. Both of them were returning from a birthday party when the incident occurred.
Relatives of the deceased staged a protest by placing Taimur's body on the crime scene and demanded his killer be arrested. Taimur's uncle claimed that they had received news of the young man getting shot at 4 am. He further stated that the CCTV footage did **t show the police ******r signalling him to stop instead opened fire on him.
