UAE: Al-Futtaim kicks off fuel cell vehicle pilot

Bertrand Thiebaut, senior MD for Al-Futtaim Motors, said: “Late last year, we an**unced our intention to drive the implementation of new sustainable tech**logies in the UAE’s motoring market and revealed our plans to start testing Toyota’s latest tech**logy, the Fuel Cell Vehicle in the UAE. “Since then, the pilot consisting of testing the Toyota Mirai FCV has kicked-off successfully, cementing our commitment towards a better and cleaner tomorrow. Our message for many years has been that hybrid is the answer to the country’s sustainable mobility question.” Al-Futtaim Motors is **w showcasing the zero-emission hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai at its stand for the week-long exhibition, as well as a model hydrogen filling station, similar to the ones being built by Air Liquide, Al-Futtaim Motors’ partner in the pilot.
