The Polish foreign minister was probably very tired when he met reporters in New York and mentioned a **n-existent country — "San Escobar."*

Witold Waszczykowski was in the U.S. to lobby for a seat on the UN Security Council from 2018-19.
He told the press that he held meetings with officials from nearly 20 countries, including some Caribbean nations "for the first time in the history of our diplomacy," countries "such as Belize or San Escobar."*
Waszczykowski's spokeswoman, Joanna Wajda, later said the top diplomat had been thinking of Saint Kitts and Nevis (k**wn as San Cristobal y Nieves in Spanish).* Read more...
