Researchers at the University of Tokyo conducted (https://www.jove.com/video/54802/insect-controlled-robot-mobile-robot-platform-to-evaluate-odor) trials using scent to guide male moths as they steer tiny robot cars
They placed female moth pheromones on a target and watched the male moth walk on a trackball inside the car.
