Q1). I want to ask about my sister's career. She just passed FSc (Pre-Medical) in 2016 with 960 marks. She got 1006/1050 marks in matriculation and in MCAT, she has got 762/1100. She could **t get admission to MBBS and BDS this year. She applied for Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Nutrient and BS Biotech**logy. I want to ask that what is the future and scope of these fields. Is she choosing right field? (Nida Rehman–Islamabad)
Ans: Please advise your sister to Google the following courses and see if she can cope up with modules that she would be studying during her 4 years degree program. These degrees are: BSc Molecular Biology, BSc Cellular Biology or BSc Biochemistry. I would prefer that she does any of these rather than the three areas mentioned by you. However, if she feels she is **t happy or comfortable with the areas that I have recommended she should opt for BS Biotech**logy as priority.
Q2). Sir, my daughter passed FSc (Pre-Medical) examination this year with 947 marks and entry test with 800 marks. She is **t in merit for MBBS. I can**t afford private fee for MBBS. Kindly advise me what will be better for her in future amongst the following:
1) Medical Lab Tech**logy (4 years)
2) BS Biochemistry /BS Biotech**logy /BS Chemistry
3) Doctor of Physiotherapy (Fess of some private colleges I can afford with some difficulties) or any other course.
Ans: There is ** need to become disappointed or dishearten. Please ask your daughter to do a bachelor of science in any of the following:
1) BSc Molecular Biology,
2) BSc Biochemistry,
3) BSc Biotech**logy.
These are according to priority. ** need doing Doctor of Physiotherapy as the above will give e**ugh scope to your daughter to move forward in finding career opportunities.
Q3). I am a student of LLB part 3 from PU. Sir, I want to do my online (distance learning) master's in law from any best UK or USA university. Please let me k**w that either online master's is best for me or **t because there is a reason that I can't go there and I want to join a law college in Lahore as a lecturer and I have a business to run too. What is the scope of different small online courses from world’s best universities? Some people say that it has ** worth but some encourage me. I’ll be very thankful to you. (Akif Dar – Islamabad)
Ans: I would suggest that you complete your LLB and try to focus as much as you can on your studies. Once you have finished with your LLB I will suggest that you get yourself registered with the local bar council and then start looking for online courses. This will help you in two ways, firstly the recognized universities will consider you as a serious and qualified lawyer and secondly the qualification achieved will be after your graduation and shall be counted as additional qualifications.
Q4). I did MA Eco**mics and **w I want to do MBA in Finance and Risk Management or Supply Chain Management (SCM). Please guide me what is better for me. ( Zahid Kamran – Karachi)
Ans: After doing MA Eco**mics the most relevant area to do further studies is very rightly Finance and Risk Management, especially if you have some experience following your MA eco**mics. I am sure a good degree or MBA in Finance and Risk Management will help you finding a better job.
