An image of a seemingly exploded, badly damaged iPhone 7 surfaced on Reddit Wednesday, and some media outlets (as well as social media) are already comparing this to the seemingly never-ending (http://mashable.com/2016/09/26/samsung-**te-7-replacement-issues/?utm_campaign=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_cid=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial) Samsung **te7 Explodegate (http://mashable.com/2016/09/15/official-samsung-galaxy-**te7-recall/#NUqrOPDPUIq8?utm_campaign=&utm_context=textlink&utm_medium=rss&utm_source=).

While we don't k**w what really happened to that iPhone 7, chances are the incident is very different to what's happening to Samsung's **te7 devices — and there's a good chance the phone didn't explode (at least **t on its own) at all.*

Reddit user kroopthes**op (https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/54te00/running_a_little_hot/) posted the first photo of the phone, claiming a coworker had pre-ordered it and that it had arrived in that condition.
