The television show Portlandia based its feminist bookstore, Women and Women First, on the actual Portland bookstore In Other Words. While the show has filmed there for years, this spring (http://www.wweek.com/arts/2016/09/27/feminist-bookstore-made-famous-on-portlandia-posts-fuck-portlandia-sign/), the store posted a sign in their window that said "Fuck Portlandia" and accused the show of oppressing marginalized people.*
