Finally, a little extravagance in the New York City restroom experience.
As part of a new exhibit entitled "America (https://www.guggenheim.org/exhibition/maurizio-cattelan-america)" at New York's Guggenheim Museum, Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan replaced the fourth-floor toilet with a functional 18-karat gold toilet.

Worth between $1 million and $1.7 million, the shiny john is hooked up to the museums regular old plumbing system.*

To use the toilet, visitors only have to pay the $15 museum entrance fee, meaning that, basically, you end up paying more to use the bathroom at a Cheesecake Factory.
