ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Friday said there would be ** headway on Kashmir during Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s New York visit, alleging that he was going there for sight-seeing and shopping.
Talking to the media here, he questioned while carrying the stigma of allegations on the Panama Papers, what was the justification for the prime minister to represent Pakistan in the United Nations General Assembly.
The PTI chief contended that the result of participation of prime minister in the upcoming UN body session would be zero and after briefly talking on Kashmir issue, he would go to London and spend holidays and do shopping as he had amassed massive wealth and built palaces to live in.
On the contrary, he lamented that the masses were suffering and finding it hard to afford two-time meal. “Here we have train accidents and acts of terrorism while the prime minister so conveniently leaves for London,” Imran charged.
Imran said to cover up corruption, the state institutions were being undermined. The PTI chairman asked if there was any difference between the dictatorial rule of General Pervez Musharraf and Nawaz Sharif’s democracy.
Tracing difference between democracy in Pakistan and the West, he said when their prime minister faced the stigma of PanamaLeaks, the result was before us and what was the outcome of our prime minister’s family names in the Leaks was also before the nation.
He said the entire political parties wanted investigation into the revelations made in the Panama Leaks with regard to the prime minister’s children. Imran said he wanted the inclusion of prime minister’s name in the Exit Control List for he faced corruption charges.
Replying to questions, he maintained that his party was on the roads for justice and added that the date of Raiwind march would be an**unced on Sunday. Imran talked about mobilising the entire party for the proposed show later this month.
“We want the Raiwind march before Muharram,” he **ted. He reiterated that the state institutions concerned needed to do their job with regard to the PanamaLeaks, which unfortunately, they were **t doing.
