SRINAGAR: Two more Kashmiris were martyred and dozens injured when Indian forces opened fire on protesters in different areas of the Indian occupied Kashmir.
The death toll has climbed to 94 in 64 days of unrest in the occupied valley.
According to Kashmir Media Service, thousands of people took to the streets in Srinagar, Badgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam, Baramulla, Handwara, Sopore, Bandipora, Islamabad, Qazigund and other areas and staged forceful demonstrations against the killing spree unleashed by Indian forces in the Valley.
Dozens of people have been injured, some of them critically, due to the firing of pellets, bullets and teargas shells by Indian police and troops on the protesters in Shopian and other areas on Saturday.
On Friday, over 150 people sustained injuries due to the use of brute force by Indian police and troops on peaceful demonstrations across the occupied Kashmir Valley.
Violence in the occupied valley was triggered by the death of Kashmiri leader Burhan Wani on July 8.
