‘Hospital in Ghotki to be turned into modern hospital’

SUKKUR: The Commissioner of Sukkur, Muhammed Abbas Baloch, told a meeting at Mirpur Mathelo in Ghotki that the headquarters hospital would be turned into a modern hospital. Brigadier Salman of Pa** Aqil Garrison, Deputy Commissioner of Ghotki, Muhammed Tahir Watto, and other officials attended the meeting. The commissioner, however, regretted the closure of the dialysis centre and said that it would be made operational soon. He ordered the DHO of Ghotki to get the dialysis machines repaired. He said that the Sindh government was keen to provide the best of services to the people in health and education sectors.
Pemra extends DTH licence applications deadline
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra ) on Thursday decided to extend the Direct to Home (DTH) licence applications' submission deadline till October 15, said a press release issued here.

PESHAWAR: Gover**r Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that every step will be taken to resolve the difficulties being faced by Afghan refugees having legal documents. He was talking to a 10-member delegation of Afghan refugees who called on him at the Gover**r’s House, Peshawar, on Thursday. Former chief secretary, Rustam Shah Mohmand also accompanied the delegation. The gover**r said that the Afghan refugees were living in Pakistan for the last 40 years and had been contributing to the eco**my of the host country.He said the returning Afghan refugees would be accorded a dignified farewell on their return to the home country.
Congo virus patient dies in Pindi
RAWALPINDI: An under treatment patient of Congo virus died at the Family Hospital. Medical superintendent of the hospital said 28-year-old Congo virus affectee Zulfiqar belonging Attock along with some others was shifted to the hospital two days ago. He said tests of the patient were being conducted but he died Thursday **on. The MS said other Congo virus affected patients were being provided best treatment.
Three carjackers arrested in **wshera

**WSHERA: The police arrested three alleged carjackers and recovered a stolen car from them here on Thursday, an official said. DPO Wahid Mehmood said the alleged carjackers identified as Sher Alam, Haider Ali and Saeedullah were also hired assassins and drug traffickers. He said the police arrested the three accused during a routine vehicle search on Kheshgi road in **whsera Kalan.
