HELD SRINAGAR: A protester died from pellet gun injuries during fresh clashes with security forces on Tuesday in Indian-held Kashmir, a hospital official said, a day after the government said it would replace ******* being used in IHK.
The 21-year-old was killed during clashes in the Anantnag district, southeast of Srinagar, in which the police said scores were injured.“Naseer had a zero degree pellet injury near his heart. That means he was shot from very close range,” the medical superintendent at the Seer Hamdan Hospital in Anantnag said.
The Indian government is under growing pressure over the level of casualties in held Kashmir during protests against the Indian rule, which broke out after the death of a popular rebel leader on July 8 in a gunbattle with soldiers.
