ISLAMABAD: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) would stage a sit-in in front of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat on September 8 against the government’s silence on the execution of JI Bangladesh leader Mir Qasim Ali.
Addressing a news conference here on Tuesday, Naib Ameer Mian Muhammad Aslam said JI Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq will sit in front of the Prime Minister’s ******.“We will register our protest against the criminal silence of the government on the execution of JI leaders in Bangladesh,” he said.
Previously, the JI leadership had an**unced to stage a sit-in in front of the Bangladesh High Commission. Mian Aslam reminded the rulers that the JI leaders had given sacrifices in 1971 to defend Pakistan and safeguard the ideology. “This is a case of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army and **t of Jamaat only,” he said.
He said the Bangladesh government encouraged by the silence of Pakistan was **w preparing a list of ******rs of Pakistan Army for their trial in absentia. He demanded that the Hasina Wajid government should abide by the tripartite agreement signed between Pakistan, India and Bangladesh in 1974.
