LAHORE/RAWALPINDI: Rallies of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehrik ended late on Saturday night, after chairman Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qadri had addressed their supporters.
After a long day of traffic jams and rallies throughout Rawalpindi and Lahore, the two rallies ended. PTI chief Imran Khan and Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri both staged protest demonstrations against the government in Lahore and Rawalpindi respectively but gave the same warning--a likely protest against the federal government in the upcoming days.
PTI chief Imran Khan demanded four answers from the government and threatened to march to Raiwind after Eid if the authorities did **t respond. Qadri hinted that his party could also march in the upcoming days, either to Jati Umra or Islamabad.
Earlier during the day, a child died in Lahore as his parents failed to find a way out of the gridlock caused by blockade of roads amid PTI rally led by former cricket hero Imran Khan, who is demanding an inquiry into Panama Leaks revelations about offshore business interests of ruling family.
The provincial government has placed shipping containers to block the roads in different parts of the city. Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah accused the PTI of **t cooperating with the administration.
Addressing his party workers, Imran Khan criticized the Election Commission of Pakistan, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). "You haven't got guts to issue **tices to Nawaz Sharif and his family. Election Commission of Pakistan has become the Election Commission of Muslim League-N," he said.
The second rally was taken out by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in the garrison town. A woman is said to have died due to traffic jam.
The government has placed containers near Zero Point in Islamabad after receiving reports that supporters of the PAT are likely to turn to the federal capital.

Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed also joined the PAT rally along hundreds of his supporters in Rawalpindi.
Tahirul Qadri parried the question when asked about his future course of action. Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid criticized the protesting parties and claimed that PTI rally in Lahore inflicted huge loss on local business.
