LAHORE: PTI chief Imran Khan said on Friday that the country would change for the better if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was held accountable in the Panama Leaks controversy.
Speaking to media personnel at the Hajj Terminal Lahore, the cricketer-turned-politician said that PTI's September 3 rally in the Old City would be a historic one. He urged the masses to take to the streets to save Pakistan from corruption.
The PTI chief said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had serious allegations leveled against him yet he always managed to dodge them. Imran said that PML-N always came into power by aligning all institutions with itself.
Imran alleged that instead of providing relief to the people, PML-N always spent huge amounts of money on big projects. The PTI chief said that Nawaz Sharif should have resigned from the post of Prime Minister after the Panama Leaks controversy came to light.
He said that Nawaz was unable to provide a convincing reply to the allegations against him since he money he possessed had been earned through corruption.
